Entry Qualifications

A contestant of BITA must qualify and/or agree to each of the following:

  1. All the contestants should either hold a Pakistani nationality or should be serving in Pakistan.

  2. The proposal must have a strong relevance to the needs of Pakistan.

  3. Any proposal who is a winner of any grant from any other national/international agency will not be eligible for this award.

  4. Proposals already submitted to the previous BITA competitions are also not eligible.

  5. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

  6. Each entry must fall within only one of the two award categories (Academia, Industry).

  7. If improperly categorized, an entry may be moved to a different category based on the recommendation of the judging panel, without consent from the contestant(s).

  8. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

  9. Each entry must provide a primary contact for BITA who will have to provide the consent letter, stating willingness, from all the other member of the group.

  10. The contestants in each of the respective official award categories will have to provide the proof of their studentship; affiliation and employment respectively (see Table 1 below for more information)

Documentary Proof Required

Academia (Students)

A certificate of studentship signed by their respective Head of Department or Institute or scanned copy of the student ID card.

Academia (Faculty)

Employment certificate signed by their respective Head of Department or Institute.

Industry/Self Employed

Employment certificate from a company registered in Pakistan.
